After a drive back to Dublin, a flight to Santander, Spain, and a one hour drive, we arrived to Bilbao. We checked in quickly and walked across the river to the old town part of the city (Casco Viejo). We spent the rest of the night there stopping in and out of places tasting pinxtos (tapas), when we actually recognized one of the ingredients.
Two of the pictures below are of the river that separates the new Bilbao and the old town. The other picture is of the Santiago Cathedral, built in the 1300s, and which looms over old town.

Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous. You'll be happy to know that it's overcast and cool in Eugene, bleh. Looks like the perfect time to be in Spain. If you get a chance to take a few shots of those authentic tapas, I would love to see that. For inspiration! Have fun, dudes.
